The Castle dates back to 1625 and is the only 17th Century building still used as a residence in Northern Ireland today. My only negative was no bottled water in the room, but this really is a minor thing.I would highly recommend this Hotel. On enquiry it seems that is hotel policy. This enchanting hotel is full of character and charm. I am absolutely delighted to read you found our staff, food and service first class. We look forward to seeing you both again soon. I have to say that my husband and I couldnt find a fault. If you are looking a quiet retreat by the sea then I would recommend this friendly hotel. Scattered about the lobby there was information about the history of the castle and a visit to the ghost room in the original building is a must.
